I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
