Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
